The Southern California Writing Centers Association (SoCalWCA) was created to further the theoretical, pedagogical, and political interests of writing center professionals in the region and to encourage dialogue about writing and learning. 2024 Tutor Conference: Call For Proposals Now Open!

The Southern California Writing Centers Association invites proposals for our 2024 Tutor Conference. This year’s theme is: “Collaboration, Culture, and Transformation.”

The conference will be held in-person on Friday March 1, 2024 at Bakersfield College.

Fall 2023 Writing Center Professionals’ Meeting

Our Fall 2023 SoCal WCA Writing Center Professionals’ Meeting (formerly Directors Meeting) was held on Friday November 3rd in-person at Concordia University in Irvine. The meeting was a success with many writing center professionals in attendance.
